My Logo
I've always felt top hats to be a symbol of magic and class. My decision to venture into self-employment was strongly influenced by my epilepsy, as I find it difficult to work in an industrial environment. Thus, when I first began my business journey I had to wear special glasses during scren-time to prevent further unnecessary, for lack of a better word, seizures. This is why I have incorporated the two into my brand identity.
I'm also a strong advocate for quirkiness and authenticity; Top hat and shades? I like to think they sum me up rather nicely.
Mungo's Cafe Hastings
Mungo's is a dog-friendly and surfing-themed cafe in the seaside town of Hastings, named after the owner's much-beloved dog, Mungo.
Liz and Steve, owner and chef, came to me for a logo to incorporate on their menu, encompassing their colourful exterior and a 'wave' without compromising the legibility of the name. I chose paw prints on a surfboard to communicate their brand's ethos and general identity.
Skinplicity by Stacey
Recently known now as "Base Beauty and Aesthetics", Skinplicty was a freelance salon, offering assorted skin and beauty treatments.
As a start-up, Stacey came to me with a particular style in mind for her logo. Simple, professional and pretty being prominent elements. We conferred over various designs and with some personal tweaks this particular design was dubbed a favourite.
